Packaging Corporation of America (NYSE:PKG) reported net sales of $671 million in the third quarter of 2011, up 4.4% from the year-earlier quarter and almost flat sequentially. Shipments for corrugated products improved 6.6% from the year-ago quarter. Out of this growth, 1.4% came from acquisitions while sales of containerboards were flat on a year-over-year basis.
